Do you Know the Meaning of BLISS?

BLISS is one of the streets of Jalaud Norte. It is part of the innermost and southwest area of the barangay together with the Lacson Village & Core Shelter. Among the three, BLISS is the most famous because of the common houses structure and having the most number of households. Kag kung ara ka sa Bga Bante proper dapat ka magbantay sang tricycle agod malab-ot ang ini nga lugar. Mangkot ka “Diin ang paBliss?” BLISS the usual word we utter pointing to this place but the young minds (bisan gani mal-am) doesn’t know what the meaning of BLISS is.

BLISS is an acronym for Bagong Lipunan Improvement of Sites and Services.  This was launched as a national development strategy on January 9, 1979 through the issuance of Executive Order 517 under President Marcos Regime.  It aims to demonstrate the integrative benefits and to bring forth the essential services of the government in the service of man.  Ang tawo bilang sentro sng pag pangabuhi sa sociedad kag nagakinahanglan sng mga nesesidad pareho sng tubig, balay, ikaayong lawas, pangabuhian, kalingawan, isport, kag economic and social services. That's the deeper meaning of it.

Kag maswerte ang Jalaud Norte ilabi na guid ang mga residente nga nakakuha sng libre nga balay kag duta halin sa gobyerno. Kag indi lamang kita ang may BLISS nga lugar kondi sa nagkalain lain man nga bahin sng Pilipinas.  And if we check the BLISS project  today, a lot had been renovated (syempre kay sng 1986 ang mass-housing ginhimo pa halin sa kahoy ang haligi kag ang iya salug sa kawayan). The classic two-bedroom house is now elegant and concrete. Pero may ara man gihapon nga nagpabilin sa amo nga istruktura.

So now bal-an nyo na kon ngaa BLISS ang lugar. Kay di man pwede kung mamangakot kaw sa tricycle mahambal ka nga “Diin ang pakadto sa Bagong Lipunan Improvement of Sites and Services?” LOL Baw kalawig guid ya…. Basta paBLISS ta a…
